Piranha Proppant produces and delivers superior quality Wonewoc substrate silica sand, which is used as a preferred proppant in unconventional oil and gas wells. The Piranha facilities include a wet and dry plant located on approximately 600 acres in New Auburn, WI. The Northern White Wonewoc frac sand meets or exceeds API standards including, roundness, sphericity and crush resistance. Fine grade sands represent approximately 70% of the reserves in place. Piranha’s Wisconsin plant is located on the Union Pacific railway (UP) with unit train capabilities onsite.
Pirana proppant’s effective processing capacity is expected to be 1.9 Mmtpa by mid-year 2018 following an upgrade to one of its dryers.
